Gemini New Moon
I should not have a lack of words on this Gemini New Moon, because it falls into my 1st house. As a Gemini rising, I rarely find myself without words, it is the perfection of my Virgo Mercury that makes me take a pause on how to organize them. With Mercury currently in retrograde, I have changed my perspective on it over the years. I am grateful for my mind to slow, being that I am also a Virgo Sun. Both signs Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. I always feel a fierce desire to either read, write, or talk. Communication is my therapy and also my love language.
Some new faces around here, just wanted to say I am happy to connect and share with you pieces of my heart, my life, and especially my passion for astrology and yoga. This moon ushers in a much needed lightness we are all craving after a tumultuous beginning to 2022. Consider what isn’t being said and let this moon organize your thoughts to share from your authentic heart. Speak truth with positive intent.
This new moon is at 9 degrees Gemini, find which house it is in for this new moon. Where is fresh energy entering your life for a new beginning? How do you connect with Gemini energy or your Mercury?
A new moon is typically lower energy and with Mercury travelling backwards you may find your mind cycling back to previous concerns, issues, or discussions. This new moon is ruled by Mercury and as a new beginning, it clears a path of your thinking mind; new ideas, new creativity, new curiosity, new insight! Be curious and try something new, try what has been on your mind. Have you felt like something is calling out to you? That calling will never go away until you actually explore or try it. This moon is a mutable air sign, untouched by any other aspects, giving you the opportunity to engage while emotionally detached. No expectations, just pure interest and intention.
Does this new moon feel different for you from the last new moon is Taurus? Look back in your calendar or your journal and recollect what was going on around April 30th, that was a new moon solar eclipse. We are officially out of the eclipse energy now with this new moon phase today. Time to set a new intention, write it down, let the Universe know.
In my Life Cycles Yoga classes, monthly my students set micro-intentions for each Zodiac phase. With Gemini, we are looking at the details, we are exploring alternate perspectives, we are discovering how to control our thinking mind. Embodying each sign is important as well. Since Gemini rules the lungs, any pranayama practice is wonderful, breathwork can be very impactful in your day to day. When you control your breath, you control your life force. Gemini also rules your shoulder, arms, and hands. I suggest a supported fish pose to release tension in the upper back and shoulders.
Do you know what also feels good? Wrap those arms around someone you love and give them a big hug.
I’m going to do that right now.
In-Joy & Love,
Sirena
