Aries New Moon

Ruled by Mars, Aries can be quick to react and take a warrior stance. This weekend is heavy with Mars Aries energy so give yourself a moment to breathe. We will feel more hot headed and angry, even the little everyday nuances will bubble up like a hot-spring of frustration. A fantastic pranayamic practice is Viloma breath, the pausing breath. Taking a deep inhale and pausing at the top, then exhale and take a pause at the bottom. Make your pauses longer each time. This teaches you conscious breath control to pause before reacting.

Aries rules the head. Be conscious of headaches, migraines, eye pain, allergies, ear aches, and anything to do with the head. Breathe deeply and release the pressure through physical exercise.

Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, the infant, it needs special care in the evolution of the Soul as it starts Spring in the northern hemisphere and fall in the southern hemisphere. Spring time is a time of rebirth, renewal, and rejuvenation after a long winter of hibernation. It is time to realize you matter, your sense of Self is changing and transforming. This is a fantastic time to do something very special just for YOU.

We have a stellium today highlighting the magical evolutionary powers of manifestation of new beginnings. A new cycle is starting in your personal world, where is 22 degrees Aries in your natal chart? Which house sector is it touching upon? You are gaining the courage to face your fears and finding the strength to step forward in leadership here! You are a warrior harnessing the boldness to conquer the fears that have plagued you. You can break through at this time knowing that fear is a stealer of joy, pleasure, and happiness. You deserve all of those things and will be richly rewarded by the Universe when you release self-limiting beliefs and step forward in your power.

The stellium behind this passionate move forward is the Sun in Aries, the Sun is Ego and self-identity, pushing us forward reminding us of our uniqueness. The moon in Aries, giving us an emotional intensity to be brave and face what is happening in our life right now. An Aires moon is passionate and high energy, even in a dark sleepy moon, and is quick to react, but also quick to forgive. Mercury is here in Aries, allowing for a fierceness in our communication and quickness in thought to speak our truth. Chiron, the wounded healer, is in Aries. The wound has to do with our Ego, our pride, what is coming up for you right now that has hurt your inner sense of Self and how can you overcome it? Mercury and Chiron want you to communicate your feelings and move forward in the healing process. We must feel to heal, but we also must ask for support, no one is a mind reader. Make those wellness appointments, reach out to people you trust, it is time.

Lastly we have Venus in Aries. A true Goddess which I think of as Durga in yoga. Durga is the Goddess of Inner Transformation, the Warrior Goddess of Strength and Protection. We call upon her for strength and personal empowerment, protection, and facing up to our shadow side and negative ego. Venus is fiery in Aries, she has strength to harmonize a relationship and speak up to end bad relationships. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to say it, if the other person is not willing to evolve with her, she will cast them aside and move forward with that which renews and heals her.

This new moon allows YOU to be YOU and embrace everything about yourself. It wants you to give yourself permission to change, evolve and transform for the betterment of your life, because you deserve the abundance the Universe has set forth on your path. Have courage to face the fear and in that uncomfortable feeling you will find the growth that you are craving. Be the warrior.

“One can go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again, fear must be overcome again and again.” ~ Abraham Maslow
